Multiversus absolutely failed compared to what they wanted and the numbers are WELL below where they were in beta. But the community that does play the game is dedicated and they will come with pitch forks and torches on your ass because they want to believe their game is thriving.

having a platform fighter with a unique cast of characters, but only letting you use 1 or 2 of them until you grind enough to unlock more characters is just a horrible idea. No wonder every match is just shaggys, wonder women and banana guards.

Game is so ass now. I see the same 3 characters constantly because people only play meta. Instead of nerfing or changing the 3 top characters they instead nerf characters that dont need it at all. Then theyres the shitty pay to pay higher levels in rift mode. Fucking pathetic release and excuse for a fighting game

Im honestly just waiting for bot lobbies alongside earnable fighter currency after every match n see The Powerpuff Girls, im honestly kinda upset that they did so many PowerPuff Girls n Dexter teases but they aren't even apart of this season's roster I was so happy that Nick n the devs of nasb listened n added Jenny Wakeman from MLAATR, n I just been playing nasb 1&2 since then i still prefer it over MVS

I think MV receives a lot of hate and not enough praise tbh. People tend to hate because its much easier then to ask why that decision was made. Alot of the complaints keep coming from the "this was in the beta" argument without looking into the fact they had to rebuild the game in unreal engine 5. They didnt remove the feature, they have to remake it again. The decision to release the game was most likely on WB part. I think the most important part is the devs are actively listening to the community and actually implementing changes. The game is free and on multiple platforms with more changes coming and new character IPs. I know alot of people having fun with the game and I see it sticking around.

In this game only those who can afford to buy the strongest characters with the strongest potential win. if you get one at a high level and with the buggiest character in the game BUGS BUNNY or BATMAN, you might be able to not move even if you lose 3 out of 3 matches

You make alot of valid points so far I’m enjoying the game overall. They definitely need to work on the game play for sure, what they can’t do is be content relaxed. They need to constantly update the game with patch’s every few weeks. They can’t wait till the battle pass is over to start patching the game it needs work asap! Hopefully there are some tweaks to the game because it definitely has potential for sure

One of the biggest downsides for me was how much slower it was. They actually made the gameplay slower and every action has a 30 fps delay.

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING: I'm getting a lot of similar comments on certain things, so I'd like to make a comment addressing these points. - First things first, I was not aware that ranked had been released during the beta, albeit for a short amount of time. The reason I thought it hadn't come out was because I never saw it come out while I played (which was a large percentage of the beta's life span), I never heard anyone talk about it, and it wasn't here on release. I apologize for giving incorrect information on that. However, this now makes it even more confusing as to why they didn't have it on release. Some people have said it's because of the balancing, but I'll get into my thoughts about that in a moment. - The other thing I want to apologize for is saying "developer priorities" when talking about the issues of the game. When I say "developer" I mean everyone behind the game, not just those that write the code. This includes the people at Warner Brothers, who I assume is behind a good chunk of the problems that players are having with this game. I should've made that more clear in the video. - Now, onto the argument about the game's balance and the hold-off on the ranked mode. I'm fully aware that the game had balance problems on release, and from that perspective, it makes sense to hold off on the ranked mode. However, what people seem to not understand is that this is supposed to be the full release of Multiversus. When you release a full game (especially one that had about a year of open beta testing), you should ensure that there's nothing game breaking before releasing it to the public. The issues found with Iron Giant and other broken characters were discovered almost immediately on release, which shows a lack of testing prior to launching the game. If they really wanted to ensure the game was complete, it would've been better to test the game rigorously and add ranked mode on release, even if this meant pushing back the release date. Releasing a half-baked product on time is never going to be better than releasing a completed product late. I know they had a release date set a while in advance, but they could've easily pushed it back, and there likely wouldn't have been backlash as long as they communicated the reasons for it (for example, "We've experienced some game breaking features on certain characters, so we are delaying the launch to properly test each character and ensure there's nothing too unbalanced on launch"). But instead, they stuck to their release date fully knowing that the game was not complete, which shows they didn't care about the getting the game right on release. - Another thing people have commented about a lot is the skins. I know that there were some skins that came in the beta, but there were still a LOT of new skins added, which isn't a good look when some parts of the game are unfinished. Now, some people have pointed out that the artists aren't the same people making the rest of the game, and I understand that. However, a certain amount of funds are allocated to different areas of development. Based on how many new skins there are, I think it's a fair inference that the art department was funded way better than other areas of the game. This once again shows where the priorities are, as they are more focused on making purchasable items than testing and completing the game. This is NOT a criticism towards the artists, as they did an amazing job with the skins. - Lastly, I've gotten a couple of comments of people basically saying "skill issue." It may come as a shock to some of you, but I'm not very good at a game that I've only played 37 hours of between the beta release and now. This does not, however, invalidate my thoughts on the game as some people believe it does. This video is coming from the perspective of someone who's a casual player, which is going to be a majority of the people playing Multiversus (at least, until the game had the massive player dropoff). If Multiversus wanted to keep the large influx of players it got from the start, they should've been more focused on the casual player experience. They could've done this by making the tutorial better (seriously, the tutorial was WAY better in the beta), testing the game to ensure there was nothing game breaking like Iron Giant, keeping the ranked mode in so people can fight on their skill level, etc. Instead, they focused a lot more attention on less important things (at least, in my opinion), which brought the game's quality way down. It's completely fine if you enjoy the game, but I (and a majority of the players) are unsatisfied by the direction the game is being taken.

This game is like OW2 where the core gameplay is good (excluding rifts), but everything else is terrible.

I’m having fun with the game it’s not about fun for me. But one thing I agree 100% is the devs priority are just not good at all they don’t care about game breaking glitches or cool features. They just Care about making there shop and battle pass resemble fortnite.

If you’re having fun playing MuliVersus, You probably have half the cast, play Joker, Finn, Bugs Bunny doing BS 0 to death combos. The game doesn’t require skill anymore and isn’t fun. Beta was fun for better gameplay, mechanics, skill, and tho it was laggy it’s better than desyncing every 2 matches

i just want to say something. Multiversus is a FREE GAME. No one forces you to pay any money on anything. They literally offer you a free server, free character, weekly new characters to play with, missions, rifts, and even more. The fact that they did not add ranked or any other features is because they worked so much on the gameplay. Each and every character takes time and skill to master it. Multiversus had only 1 year man, what can you do in one year? it's not even that much time to be honest. And if you still want to hate on it, leave other players have fun. I get your point and i get that you are so dissapointed in it, but at the end of the day, everyone is allowed to play the game for FREE and no one is obligated to pay any money to use the servers. I really do enjoy it, but there are some bugs like Match is Desyncronized, or "Unreal engine crash" and yeah i do hate when that happens, but i still like it! Great video idea, but i would like you to make a positive side of this story as well. Multiversus still has potential for a free game. And related to the shop, they have to make money from something tho. That's why they added this thing. And the main menu that is similar to fortnite, well, they added that just because people are familliar with that main menu and already understand it. So it's easier to navigate through it.
